Billington Biofuels has been established with the clear intention to be the leading distributor of wood pellets in the UK.

Our business is based on four key principles - Quality, Customer Service, Security of Supply and Sustainability. We are determined to stick rigidly to these principals - which means we may not necessarily be the cheapest supplier, but we do offer the best true value for money.

Currently heating our buildings and homes uses almost half the total energy in the UK, and 99% of this energy comes only from fossil fuels. We believe that this country critically needs renewable heating energy to reduce our climate change and environmental impact, as well as to help improve our energy security and sustainability.

There are a number of different technologies available, such as solar panels and heat pumps, and each of these has its strengths and applications for which it is suitable. We believe that burning sustainable biomass is the most straightforward way to deliver significant quantities of heat when needed. Turning the biomass into pellets is the best way to compress the energy, making distribution more efficient, and making the material easier to handle.
